Terms of Service

Welcome to Haiti History Game ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account information.

3. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including but not limited to quiz questions, answers, explanations, Hidden Truth episode narratives, character names, storylines, artwork, graphics, and design elements — is the intellectual property of Alcin Technology & Chase Innovation LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content from the App without our prior written consent.

4. Truth Points and In-App Currency

Truth Points are a virtual, in-app reward system. They:

• Have no real-world monetary value
• Cannot be exchanged for cash, gift cards, or other currency
• Cannot be transferred between accounts
• May be adjusted, reset, or modified at our discretion

We reserve the right to modify the Truth Points system, including point values, earning mechanisms, and redemption thresholds, at any time.

5. In-App Purchases

The App may offer in-app purchases through the Google Play Store. All purchases are subject to the respective platform's terms and conditions. Refund requests should be directed to Google Play, as purchases are processed through their payment system.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to manipulate quiz results, Truth Points, or leaderboard rankings through cheating, exploits, bots, or other fraudulent means
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Use offensive, inappropriate, or misleading display names
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers, networks, or services
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute quiz content or episode narratives

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Leaderboard and Public Information

By using the App, you acknowledge that your display name, quiz scores, and ranking may be visible to other users through the public leaderboard. You can change your display name at any time through your profile settings.

8. Content Accuracy

We strive to ensure that all historical information presented in the App is accurate and well-researched. However, we do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of all content. The App is intended for educational and entertainment purposes and should not be used as a sole academic source.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alcin Technology & Chase Innovation LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections related to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law will survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Florida.
